Peter Cheung Strategic Marketing Expert

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PETER CHEUNG ASIA LIMITED, Peter Cheung was born in Hong Kong and educated in British Columbia, Canada. Today, Cheung is one of the most experienced and accomplished professionals in the luxury brand building and communications industry in Asia.

In 1999 to 2001, Cheung began his career at international auction house Sotheby’s as the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Special Events for China and Southeast Asia. After Sotheby’s, from 2001 to 2008, Cheung went on to rise through the ranks at Dior Couture Asia Pacific where he became the famed house’s Regional Marketing Director. From Dior, Cheung migrated to Versace, this time as the Regional Vice President of Communications, Asia Pacific from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Cheung transitioned and brought his expertise to the world of high jewellery and watches at Van Cleef & Arpels, whose exceptional growth within the Asia Pacific region was in part due to Cheung’s role as the Regional Marketing and Communications Director from 2010 to 2015.

Cheung also cuts an enviable figure as a permanent fixture on the esteemed “Hong Kong Tatler 500 List” in recent years; rubbing his stylish shoulders with everyone from media and industry heavyweights, to A-list celebrities and high society – Cheung himself is a highly recognizable and well-liked personality.

In addition to his passion for all things luxury, Cheung is a loyal supporter of arts institutions and charitiable causes in Hong Kong. He serves in the executive committee of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and proactively supports the End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation.
