Guy Salter is a luxury investor & retailer. He represents the British luxury industry, the GREAT Campaign and initiatives supporting craftsmanship and small business. Guy got his grounding in retailing, fast fashion and brand development at the Arcadia Group, owner of Top Shop and other well-known High Street fashion retail brands. His entry into the luxury industry came with his appointment as Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier Champagne, where he overhauled the pricing and profitability of the marque and spearheaded the growth of Laurent-Perrier Rosé, which is now the market leader. Since then Guy has been CEO or an investor in a range of luxury-related, retail & technology businesses, ranging from Asprey to BazaarVoice. His current portfolio includes Monica Vinader, which is expanding fast, including in Asia, from its debut in Hong Kong’s IFC Mall in November 2014. He is also working closely with Fast Retailing and a number of leading designers on a small number of fashion projects. His pro bono work includes fifteen years leading Walpole, which represents the British luxury industry. In 2015, he founded London Craft Week, the annual “Beyond Luxury’ Showcase with over 200 events spread across London and this year was made an OBE in the Queen’s 90th Birthday Honours. Guy is a long-standing fan of Hong Kong, which he regards as a home from home.
