Contemporary womenswear designer Saloni Lodha founded her brand SALONI in 2011. The brand subtly draws on Lodha’s Indian heritage, re-interpreting prints, silhouettes and colours in a modern way. Born in India, she studied in Mumbai and later moved to Hong Kong and London before returning to Hong Kong where she is currently based. She grew up in a traditional family and her love affair with textiles began at a very young age. When she first moved to Hong Kong in 2001, which then was dominated exclusively by luxury brands, she saw a gap in the market for something more personal. Her signature and iconic dresses have been worn by international celebrities including Emma Watson, Naomi Watts and Jessica Alba.
