Ryota Iwai

Japanese designer Ryota Iwai established his own brand AURALEE in 2015. After its first flagship store opened in Tokyo in 2017, the brand has been showcasing at Paris Fashion Week since the 2019 Autumn/Winter collection. The brand conveys a true sense of modernity and purpose, while authenticity rhymes with clarity of design; calm elegance aligns with gentle formality executed in a nuanced and recognisable colour palette. Iwai was awarded the Fashion Prize of Tokyo in 2018 and the Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix Shiseido Sponsorship Award for Best New Designer in 2019.
